superheroes
The only reason I like superheroes is the fact that they loose everything around them. Especially their loved ones. It’s sad but then it shows us how even though they are at rockbottom with no where else to go and no reason to keep fighting they keep doing what they know is right, of course they do question themselves and doubt themselves but they usually do what is needed. In the end they are usually rewarded or their lives go back to well for them you would call it normal. They are people, fictitious people but people nonetheless, like us. The trials we face they face. Being a hero doesn’t pay, being a hero doesn’t mean you will always get what you want, being a hero doesn’t mean you’ll get the girl. I’m not superman, I’m not batman, I’m not spiderman, I’m not captain america, but everyone can identify with at least one superhero. Their struggles are our struggles. It’s time for me to learn that even though I’m not prepared to start from scratch that if someone who has more resting on their shoulders than myself, fictitious or not, I can do it too. I will do it. Thanks Spidey for being there when grandma passed away and thanks Nightwing for showing me that even though it’s not easy to go it alone that it’s not impossible either.
